6 September 2023, as part of the XXV Conference on Organometallic Chemistry (EuCOMC XXV) in Madrid, Prof. Janusz Lewiński delivered a lecture dedicated to the memory of Prof. Stanisław Pasynkiewicz.
Prof. Pasynkiewicz, deceased 15 November 2021, was the father of organometallic chemistry in Poland, and served as Chairman of Division of Organometallic Chemistry of the European Chemical Society (EuChemS, then known as Federation of European Chemical Societies – FECS) for over 25 years (1974-2001) and since 2001 as the Honorary Chairman. During the lecture at EuCOMC XXV, Prof. Lewinski honoured the seminal contributions of his predecessor to organometallic chemistry, and described several case studies on the desired evolutions of organometallic compounds basing on solid-state mechano- and slow-chemistry, melt, and solution approaches.
