The Lewinski group has many traditions, but one that stands out is certainly the week-long getaway trip to breathtaking Tatra mountains. This year was not any different. Just before the epidemic touched down in Europe we managed to spend 5 days in Slovakia’s part of Tatra mountains, exchanging research ideas, enjoying skiing, walks in nature and each other's company! Not only permanent researchers of the Lewiński group but also young undergraduate and graduate students joined us in this endeavor. The topics presented during the sessions were, among others, ZnO nanocrystals, cinchonine complexes, and metal-organic frameworks. The team came back full of energy, and with heads filled with ideas for future research, even those that can be realized from home in these hard times.
