Our scientific activity has multidisciplinary character, hence its distinctive feature is bridging curiosity-driven molecular-level fundamental research with practical applications including the development of
- heavy-metal free quantum dots for solar-driven chemistry, sensing and biomedicine,
- hybrid inorganic-organic perovskite materials for the new generation photovoltaic solar cells, and
- porous metal-organic frameworks for gas storage and separation.
We have developed novel bottom-up synthesis methods of a range of functional (nano)materials involving wet-chemical processes and, notably, environment-friendly mechanochemical approaches.
