Together, we discussed various aspects dioxygen activation as well as computational approach to mechanochemical synthesis.<\/p>\n<p><b>Sason Shaik<\/b> is the Director of the Lise Meitner-Minerva Center for Computational Quantum Chemistry and the head of a theoretical chemistry group in the Institute of Chemistry of the Hebrew University, Israel. His contributions include the development of a general model of chemical reactivity based on valence bond (VB) theory, development of new models of halogen bonds, CH-HC interactions, and other weak interactions, exploration of DNA\/RNA repair mechanisms, and many others.
